Safety Officer (MVK, International)
Job Description
One of our clients is an international operating Civil- & Infrastructural Engineering company. We are recruiting for a Safety Officer.
As Safety Officer you are responsible for the implementation of the HSES Plan on a international infrastructural project by regular monitoring and reporting.
Your main tasks and accountabilities are:
• Implementation of the HSES plan
• Assist with Risk Assessments
• Coordinating site Emergency Procedures
• Coordinating all site safety related training and training needs
• Coordinating all accident - incident investigations
• Managing all sub-contractors in relation to HSES and carry out HSES audits on sub-contractors and suppliers
• Monitoring the effectiveness of safety rules and regulations
• Actively seeking and stimulating improvement in HSES, making any necessary amendments to the HSES Plan
• Continuously monitoring that the works
Desired Skills & Experience
As Safety Officer you have the following qualifications:
• Middle vocational education preferably in mechanical engineering or in civil
• At least MVK (middle HSES education)
• At least 10 years practical experience in the construction industry, from which at least 10 years in HSES
• Good knowledge of work methods in the construction industry, HSES project plans and systems
• Good technical knowledge of construction matters, used materials, equipment and tools
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Eager to work outside Europe
• Flexibility to adapt to very diverse site circumstances
• Good communication skills
